Belém is the name of the Atlantic port through which Brazilian pepper reaches Europe. The aromatic Belém pepper from Brazil comes together in oak barrels on the finest single malt whiskey from a Brandenburg whiskey distillery.

The pepper is placed in the whiskey for a few weeks and then gently dried, so that the flavors are retained. This is how the powerfully spicy note of pepper combines with the smoky and mellow flavors of whiskey. These are released again when the pepper is ground.

Usage tips

This drunken pepper goes perfectly with red meats, grilled meats, game, game meats. It will spice up a carpaccio or a beef, salmon or tomato tartare. It will be highlighted on eggs.
