Persian blue salt

Origin: Iran
Net volumes and weights: 50ml / 95g / 3.35oz
Table salt, ideal for Peugeot salt mill.

This salt of unequaled purity is an earth salt from mines, unlike sea salt extracted from saltworks.

The one we offer is extracted from one of the oldest salt mines in the world, in the rocky mountains of Semman province in Iran. It is still harvested by hand and for centuries using the same artisanal method.

This rare salt, rich in potassium and trace element, is adorned with sublime blue reflections, coming from the sylvinite present in the minerals of the mine. Its salinity is frank but not aggressive.

It is a subtle salt. Its crunch is a delight under the tooth. Its suave flavor is slightly spicy and delivers a slight acidity reminiscent of lemon.

Usage tips

To be used after cooking. Although it is more noble than the other salts, it is a salt that goes everywhere and will do wonders with seafood, shellfish and fish. On fine products such as foie gras, scallops, steamed vegetables, salads, fine poultry. Try it sweetened in a chocolate mousse.
