Papua is a country in Oceania occupying the eastern half of the Island of New Guinea.
Papua has the particularity of cultivating two botanical species, Tahitensis and Planifolia.
The Tahitensis, a species also cultivated in French Polynesia, is broad and matte.
Planifolia, a species cultivated in all the countries mentioned above, has a very regular fiber.
Aromatic notes of Tahitensis: delicate, flowery and aniseed, gingerbread notes.
Aromatic notes of Planifolia: liquorice. This vanilla is close to that of Tahiti, the pods come from the same variety "tahitensis".
The aromatic notes are very subtle, delicately floral, and slightly roasted and peppery gourmet touches reminiscent of gingerbread.
Usage tips
This vanilla will do wonders in your desserts, gingerbread, custard, crème brûlée, it will flavor your whipped cream, syrups and pastries.
